Norkom Technologies provides software to banks which aims to prevent money laundering, terrorists financing and fraud.

This morning, it announced that sales increased by 64% to 41 million euro for the 12 months to the end of March. Pre-tax profits were at 4.88 million euro and that's up from 4.36 million last year.

Fraud-busting and anti-money laundering software company Norkom, it's an Irish company, it sells to the big banks around the world. In the 12 months to the end of March it saw its sales increase 64% to €41m.

Pre-tax profits increased by around €500,000 to almost 5m euro in a year when the company spent more than $30m on competitor company Digital Harbor.

Australia's St George Bank is implementing anti-money laundering and compliance software from Dublin-based Norkom Technologies.

St George will use the technology to comply with Australia's recently enacted Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) Act.
