Working to combat one of the most innovative and fastest growing industries that is global financial crime, Norkom Technologies is looking for a Technical Consultant to join its expanding team. Located in Boston, Reston or New York, the successful candidate will be key asset to the Services team, responsible for the end-to-end implementation of our J2EE software solutions in high-performance batch and real-time environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the project team on technical components of Norkom Technologies system implementation projects including product configuration, interfacing, installation & testing.
  • Work with product development to come up with appropriate approach for customer specific customizations and implement those customizations.
  • Provide technical expertise to project team covering database, network, J2EE and web technologies.
  • Work with project management to develop realistic development plans and contribute to successful delivery of plan
  • Determine technical and business impact analysis of customer specific customizations

Requirements

  • Project Implementation Experience, in particular deploying J2EE and web-based solutions on JBoss, WebSphere and/or WebLogic.
  • Experience of performance tuning of applications and databases
  • Experience with developing J2EE applications is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment, think on your feet, and to engage in effective communications with both the business and technical communities.
  • As there will be requirements for the person to work from Client sites, you must be willing to be mobile and to spend periods of time away on Client sites.
