Senior Technical Consultant

Working to combat one of the most innovative and fastest growing industries that is global financial crime, Norkom Technologies is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to join its expanding team. Located in Boston, Reston or New York, the successful candidate will be key asset to the Services team, responsible for the end-to-end implementation of our J2EE software solutions in high-performance batch and real-time environments.

• Supports and directs the project team by defining and documenting the technical architecture
• Supports and directs the client and the team in defining the interfacing and data management processes
• Is responsible for the end to end implementation of the solution; deploys the application, implements customisations, troubleshoots the environments and tunes the performance of the system
• Is responsible for the implementation of best practices
• Supports the client organization during testing
• Mentors and trains Technical and Product Consultants

You have;

•  A graduate in IT or Engineering discipline
• Extensive previous experience in consultancy and the installation of software applications
• Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in technical role – programming, technical/IT support, software installation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to be independent, flexible and like to take initiative
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, SQL performance tuning, and databases such as Oracle or DB2
• Extensive knowledge of application servers such as Websphere or Weblogic
• Excellent knowledge of Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux, HPUX)
• Solid understanding of Java and J2EE architectures
•  Solid knowledge of XML and real time messaging queues and systems
